Lampshading, in case you're too lazy to take the links, means this in a nutshell: Lampshade Hanging is the writers' trick of dealing with any element of the story that threatens the audience's Willing Suspension Of Disbelief-whether a very implausible plot development, or a particularly egregious use of a trope-by calling attention to it... and then moving on.



While I wouldn't say that Sasha's effeminate nature is something of an implausible plot development, it is a tropish change I've made to the runt that aims him right down the barrel of being both Bishi to an unhealthy extreme and the victim of what some would call fetish fuel in some social circles. But there is explanation that I will go into further down the road. But I'm just getting this out of the way now. ^___^
