First off, HAPPY FRIDAY THE 13th!! Yaaay! Go buy lots of lotto tickets and stuff, cuz today is an arbitrary lucky day! yaaay!!!
So about the last page before this one.. One thing that I like to write, and also want to include more in future comics when applicable, is that characters can be flawed in their perceptions. Folks on the forums pointed out how Sasha wasn't patronizing to Ruth, which is the truth. But from Ruth's perspective, the use of "would love to" from Sasha in reference to hanging out seemed a tad over the top for Ruth to understand. To him, when folks would love to do anything with him, he sees it as an over the top, unnecessary gesture.
Sasha on the other hand is like a puppy and loves it if someone he likes can come over and play. He has his snarkier moments such as when Ruth called him out on his black lip, and there will be plenty of him being not so happy in the future, so don't think that Sasha will always be this energetic ray of hayppy sunshine. He just has a high bounceback factor. But right now, in this arc, he's extremely excited to see something as new and cool as Rutherford in his house. With Ruth out of his element, his defenses can be combated just enough...
