So normally I'm up around midnight to 1 AM to update the comics so they'll be ready to be viewed by the time the day gets rolling, but last night I passed out around midnight thirty and woke up now at 6:00 AM going "Oh crap! Forgot!"
I need to announce this for next week, that I will only be updating once next week. When my drawing tablet was victim of a koolade incident I was without any digital catching up for about a week, week and a half. During that time I got some traditional art done, and some writing finished, but very little progress was made on keeping the buffer buffed.
Now that I've got a new tablet to replace it, I'm having to get used to it again. It's a serious upgrade in quality (slight downgrade in size, which isn't a complaint, it just makes the whole monster more manageable) so both of those factors play a huge part in my own motor skills adjusting to get the same results at the same time frame it normally takes to do my art. With this new adjustment period going on, it took me TWO DAYS to finish one page that had the panel layouts already finished. (normally after layouts are confirmed, 8 to 10 hours is my usual time)
Throw all this together and it ends up being a clusterfudge of falling behind. Believe me, I'm still like 3 weeks ahead in twice a week updates, but I want to assure at least a consistent flow of weekly comics. I think one week of one update should be just enough to get back on track.
Should.
